No excuse for the lapse
Every time I sit down to write something I can't figure out what to say, yet there's just so much to be said! So, let me just say it in as few words as possible.
I have a job. I already had a job, I know - but now I have a contract until December 2006, I have a job title with Senior in the name (not that I have any subordinates, but anyway), and I get to play with (and am responsible for looking after) a supercomputer. This is pretty exciting, and good for my CV (which I am ever mindful of).
We're having a baby. I'd tried to write about this, but there's just too much to say and I don't know where to start. Somehow, I have managed not to say anything until now, and in a fortnight we'll be half way through the pregnancy. I am good with the procrastination, that's for sure. Anyway, everything appears to be proceeding smoothly this time (though certainly not without stress), and Sebastian John (it's a boy!) will be arriving in March 2005.
Ok, that's it for now. I'll try not to leave months between updates next time.
